Skillet Irish Soda Bread

For St Patrick's Day today Becky made some Irish Soda bread for the first time. She got a recipe from the NY Times for an Americanized version of a skillet Irish soda bread made with raisons. This American version also had sugar, eggs, butter and buttermilk. Authentic Irish soda bread contain no raisons, butter or, eggs. She baked it in a heavy iron skillet. It was delicious.

We will be eating this for several days.
