I first made this mix or something very close to it on CD back in 2004 where I posted it to the Art of the Mix site. Later I reworked this mix around 2012 and had it in my Porch Sittin' series. This mix is now part of my Final Version series in the Back Porch group. All of the mixes in this group are folk and country flavored but this one has a particular menu of whiskey, weed and women. There is a theme of murder and mayhem. Americana murder ballads and songs about people going bad or just getting into trouble.
I've played this mix for friends while sitting on the back porch. It's a lot of fun and they have always loved it. From the opening line of The Blasters you know what is going to happen and it's going to be a blast. The mix runs for about an hour and a half.
