And now we have the final version of a mix from my Late Night series that has undergone numerous different versions over the years... over the decades. I've used this same image for all of them too. This mix had an art theme, sort of, Lou Reed, Andy Warhol, New York City street life, etc. This mix goes back to a cassette tape in the early 80’s that was a recorded set list from my time spinning records at the Pastime Lounge on the West Side where a lot of artists came to hang out after the art opening receptions. I made a couple of CD versions of this one over the years and this of course is the latest version. I have still tried to keep the feel of an artist hangout party from the time with a lot of NY 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music and other influences like the Velvet Underground and Lou Reed, David Bowie, New York Dolls, punk and New Wave. I did get to see the Velvet Underground perform in a small club in Philly in 1968.
So here is the mix. An hour and a half. A link to Spotify too.
