Readings 2018 - Fiction

Novels for 2018. Another year of retirement and lots of reading. 85 total books and almost half of them were novels. Some favorite authors again... Tana French, Philip Kerr and lots of recent discoveries like Joe Ide, Pete Hamill, Cara Black, and so many more.

Lots of favorite books this year. Barkskins and The Overstory both had a theme of trees. I started exploring the science fiction worlds of N.K. Jemisin, Martha Wells and Jeff VanderMeer. I went back to some old ongoing series by Pierce Brown and James S.A. Corey. I also discovered the techno thriller weird world FBI special agent Pendergast written by the team of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I read three of their novels from the mid to late 1990's and there are many more in the series that is still going on.

I liked going back and reading Johnny Got His Gun again.
