Taking Down The Show

Today Becky took down her art show from the Book Arts Gallery and it was a terribly rainy day to do it. It's been raining a lot all week and will again tomorrow. I was not able to help her move the art work because of my hernia problem but I went along with her for moral support since I was feeling somewhat better and to help in any way that I could. I spent most of the time holding the door open for her to carry the artwork out to the car illegally parked on Washington Street. I did have the good idea of getting a box of large bags to put the artwork in to protect the pieces from the rain. Mike from the gallery took the artwork off the walls and placed them in the protective bags. The process worked very well.

We arrived at the gallery at about 11 am and we were home getting some lunch at noon. The taking down the show and loading the artwork into the car was done very efficiently by Becky and Mike. Becky then carried the artwork from the car in our driveway and into the house. She'll take it upstairs over the course of the next couple of days and a few pieces will go to the storage room on Hertel Ave. Overall a very good day getting done what needed to be done.

She had sold several pieces of art and they had been already picked up by the buyers.
