Well, I actually did have two... a full length blue one and a smaller orange one that was more like a shirt. So very mod. But I drew the line with medallions.
reflections, ruminations, ramblings and rants on music, books, beer, politics, technology, media, family, etc, etc. from a retired old man, music collector, librarian, political observer, technology geek, veteran, history buff, beer enthusiast, sci-fi fan, obsessive mixtaper and former DJ. I've also gathered writings from the past several years posted in various social media platforms. This blog has become an editing tool for my writings and everything here is a work in progress.

Peace 1968
Found this while rooting through an old drawer this morning and hadn’t seen it in a very long time. I got it in a head shop on Samson Street in downtown Philadelphia in the spring of 1968. Hard to believe that was 50 years ago. I had a Nehru jacket back then too but fortunately no pictures.
I had to ditch the long hair, beads, peace signs, and hippie clothes when I enlisted in the Navy in late 1969 but did get to keep wearing bell bottoms.
