Easter Morning at the Zoo

With Sean and Ashley and the kids in town we wanted to take Andrew and Autumn to the zoo and were following the weather for a good day. It tuned out that Easter Sunday morning was a good time to go and we did. They packed the kids in their kid wagon and we walked over to the Zoo.

We got there a little after it opened at 10am and the weather was a little chilly but not raining or snowing which is what we hoped for. The first thing we noticed was that there were not very many people at the zoo on this holiday Sunday morning. In fact we had never seen it so sparsely attended. We almost had the zoo to ourselves. It felt a little strange.

But the kids had a great time. We especially loved the Rainforest Building on that cold morning. Autumn liked the giraffes the last time we were there but this time she said it scarred her. After a little time she was comfortable with the giraffes looking down at her. The kids also liked the reptile house and of course the polar bears which was the first exhibit we saw. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Later Becky made a nice pasta dinner. We had tried to get some pizza and wings but couldn't find a place open on Easter Sunday.
