Jupiter String Quartet

Last night was the first concert of the new Buffalo Chamber Music Society series. We enjoyed this concert very much. The Jupiter String Quartet performed tonight. We had seen them before in previous seasons. They started off with a Haydn piece that was spectacular and then an interesting early 20th century from Alan Berg which was very good. The final piece was from Schubert and a real crowd pleaser.

This string quartet is mostly a family affair. Two sisters, a husband and one other person.

After the concert there was a reception that included wine and very nice finger food catered by Olivers. We got home from the concert a lot later than we usually do throughout the season.

There were quite a few people we knew at the concert. We will miss the concert next month as we will be in Philly following Marisa's wedding. We're giving our tickets to Dave and Donna.
