I was definitely into a lot of Motown and folk back then along with the British Invasion stuff. Looking back on it now I guess things haven't changed much.
Rubber Soul is probably my favorite Beatles album and it was also the first album by any artist I replaced on CD in the late 80s. Highway 61 Revisited might be my favorite Dylan album although Blonde on Blonde is right up there too.

Essential stuff, George. It was in this year that the major trendsetters, Dylan and the Fab Four, were actually creating albums as entities and not like previously, when they were really just collections of singles and filler. I would recommend everything on this list to any serious music fan. By the way, I would have started in 65 too! The golden era for me was 65-71.
